About three weeks ago I received an email with the following subject line – An Indecent Proposal. Contained within was a humble request to photograph a secret wedding in Vegas from two casual acquaintances in Durham; though at that time they were still in Buenos Aires, Argentina, relishing in the completion of a crazy year-long road trip. As a serious practitioner of the Gonzo arts, this esoteric endeavor was one I could not afford to let pass – buy the ticket, take the ride, eh?
My lady and I kept our mouths shut and invested in some new fashion as the departure date approached. Vegas did not disappoint. We spent the last day boozing through the streets and casinos in electric “rascal” scooters without raising a single eyebrow (video to come). It was a blast, but it was also easy to see how prolonged exposure to that fabulous desert city of sin might easily lead to a serious deterioration of one’s health and bank accounts.
Though weddings are not usually something I enjoy shooting, this was quite the extraordinary exception. Who knows? This could be a niche business for Miss Kavanah and I – here are some more photos from the adventure.
